Chapter Chapter 13 in Schwarz Methods and Multilevel Preconditioners for Boundary Element Methods, 2021, pp 307-328 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In this chapter we study the use of multilevel methods to obtain optimal preconditioners in the case that the mesh is locally refined. Local mesh refinements, particularly important for boundary element discretisations, are carried out by using some a posteriori error estimators to mark elements to be refined. We are particularly interested in the newest vertex bisection algorithm.
