Chapter Chapter 14 in Schwarz Methods and Multilevel Preconditioners for Boundary Element Methods, 2021, pp 331-366 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The coupling of boundary elements and finite elements is a powerful tool for the numerical treatment of boundary value problems on unbounded domains, and in particular, of interface problems. It allows us to benefit from the best of both worlds: boundary elements for treating unbounded domains and finite elements for treating non-homogeneity and non-linearity of the equations. In this chapter, we present preconditioners for the symmetric and non-symmetric FEM-BEM coupling methods
