Abstract: Abstract The study seeks to foster fresh empirical evidence on how microfinance institutions can act as a saviour in the pandemic crisis. In today’s time, the outspread of corona bringing up many negative consequences into our lifestyle. We are bound to adopt the new normal lifestyle to sustain in this crisis. Among other changes beyond health, unemployment or losing of job emerges as an intimidating issue in world economy. Microfinance institution with its social service motive can show the way to venture into self-income opportunities and help to generate employment for others. This study observes the outreach of MFIs in two blocks of Purulia and their involvement into employment generation. Composed of 300 borrowers and applying multiple regressions, this study shows that employment generation has a positive association with the micro ventures.
