Abstract: Abstract In this chapter, we show that the process of constitution-making can cause civil conflict, i.e., constitution-making itself can derail the peaceful intent of a constitution. Further, we show that the causal relationship between constitutional changes and civil conflict is non-linear in meaningful ways. Last, we offer that algorithm accuracy matters for policy success.
