Chapter Chapter 4 in Directed Quantities in Electrodynamics, 2021, pp 125-152 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Section 4.1 is devoted to describing electromagnetism as far as possible in a metric-free manner. This includes definitions of relevant physical quantities and principal relations: field quantities, potentials, densities of charge, current, energy and energy flux, Maxwell’s equations, Lorentz force, continuity equation, and gauge transformation.
