Chapter Chapter 7 in Post-Heroic Leadership, 2022, pp 145-153 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This next chapter merges two interviews with post-heroic leaders from two very different backgrounds. Both discuss the role of leaders as the main builders of community and their role in bringing people together around the shared goal. The creation of a community brings many challenges, from the need to establish shared goals and to build the sense of belonging. Special emphasis is put on the meaning of shared values, collaboration, psychological safety, and the use of feedback and radical candour as a developmental and connecting tool. The interviewees also reflect on dealing with criticism and conflict in an organization.
