Abstract: Abstract Structure follows strategy. This motto applies to the Hidden Champions as much as to anyone else. The functional organization remains the optimal form for many one-product/one-market Hidden Champions, supplemented by the multifunctional deployment of the employees. Market segmentation and agility require more decentralized and modern forms of organization, including divisionalization. Relative deglobalization has caused some Hidden Champions to establish largely independent regional headquarters in Europe, the US, and China.
