Sources of Project Funds

Chapter Chapter 3 in International Project Finance, 2022, pp 19-31 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Project finance comes from a variety of sources: equity, debt, and government grants. Project sponsors, government, third-party private investors, and internally generated cash provide equity. Equity providers require a rate of return target, which is higher than the interest rate of debt financing. Generally, debt finance makes up the major share of investment needs (usually about 70–90%) in PPP projects.
