Abstract: Abstract It is well known that if z ∈ ℂ $$z\in \mathbb {C}$$ , then | z | = z ̄ z $$|z|=\sqrt {\bar {z}z}$$ denotes the modulus of z. It is possible to extend this definition to the case of linear operators.
