Chapter Chapter 7 in Agriculture for Economic Development in Africa, 2022, pp 77-89 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter presents the main results of the Semi-Input-Output (SIO) multiplier analysis. Overall, the results of the empirical analysis show that the agricultural sector was the best growth option in Ethiopia in the studied time period, with high and strengthening growth linkages to other sectors. Due to the apparent rigidity of the manufacturing sector, manufacturing growth would not have had as strong an effect on overall growth. These results are presented in detail, as well as discussed, in this chapter.
