Chapter Chapter 2 in The Theory of the Jahn-Teller Effect, 2022, pp 15-30 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Electrons are fermions, while vibrational states follow boson statistics. In this chapter the appropriate creation and annihilation operators for bosons and fermions are introduced, on which the formalism in the subsequent chapters will be based. Special attention is given to the Bargmann mapping of boson operators, and the quasi-spin quantization of fermion states.
