Chapter Chapter 3 in ERP Adoption in Organizations, 2022, pp 37-71 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter reviews the previous relevant literature with pertinent and important innovation adoption theories which are used as foundation of proposed research framework for this study. It identifies innovation adoption as a process and discusses its different stages and factors using a few well-established Technology Acceptance models in the industry. The chapter describes a number of major models in detail together with some others: The Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA), Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB), A Conceptual Framework of Individual Innovation Acceptance in Organisations, The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and TAM2 and the United Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT).
