Abstract: Abstract A region r ≥ s > 0 of the ( r , s ) ∈ ℝ + + $$(r,s) \in \mathbb {R}_{++}$$ parameter space is usually specified as the strict concavity region for Sharma-Mittal class of entropy measures. The hypograph of this region is the half straight line r = s corresponding to Havrda-Charvat measure. In the present work, the problem of extending this region is solved through the derivation of the least upper bound of a sequence of hypographs.
