Abstract:
Abstract As noted in the previous chapter, Pearce (Social enterprise in Anytown, Calouste Gulbenkian, 2003) situates social enterprisesocial enterprise within the third systemthird system of the economy which includes voluntary organisations and the family economy. The distinction is important in relation to the previous chapter in which various modes of social enterprise were examined, including positioning social enterprise on a spectrumspectrum which included capitalist organisations engaged in some form of corporate social responsibilitycorporate social responsibility.
