Chapter 8 in Classically Semisimple Rings, 2022, pp 93-107 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter is devoted to a more sophisticated construction with modules, the so-called tensor product. It is extremely useful, though fairly abstract. Its main benefit lies in the fact that it allows us to convert bilinear mappings into homomorphisms of abelian groups. The relations between tensor products and homomorphism groups is fundamental and will lead us to the concept of adjoint functor in the later part of the chapter.
