Organizational Structuralism and Mathematical Symbolism
Kostas Langas ()
Chapter Chapter 9 in Organizational Structuralism, 2023, pp 363-382 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In this chapter, the mathematical treatment of the organizational structuralistic model proposed so far is presented and commented on. The main aspects regarding the mathematical treatment are organisational structuralism and mathematical symbolism, a mathematical analysis of organizational structures based on geometrical analysis and hydrodynamics theory, the analysis of a single process, the analysis of the organization as a whole, the analysis of ideal case and worst-case scenario. Follows a further integration (and an alternative treatment) to the mathematical model of organizational structures by means of a hydrodynamic analogy. Some examples of possible correlations with natural phenomena are also discussed. Finally, a mathematical expression for the correlation of Material and Symbolic Structures at three distinct levels (Organizational Quanta, Masys and processes) is presented in mathematical terms and some questions for readers who understand and manage Mathematics effectively.
