Public Leadership
Dimitri Gvindadze ()
Chapter Chapter 6 in The Transformation of Georgia from 2004 to 2012, 2023, pp 49-52 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter discusses three main qualities of a public leader—vision, courage and altruism. All three are equally important—a leader lacking even one quality is at best inefficient and at worst dangerous. The chapter explains what it takes to disrupt and reengineer in the wake of significant electoral changes and street-led revolutions. It is based on the author’s personal meetings with and observation of public leaders in different countries.
