Chapter Chapter 8 in International Labour Mobility, 2023, pp 161-179 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter is devoted to the analysis of migration policy measures at the level of the European Union and Romania, such as immigration and emigration management policies and policies addressed to the diaspora. In particular, in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and forced return migration, the countries of origin of the migrants have been affected, with a boomerang effect of encouraging emigration policies of the national authorities. Thus, it is important to document examples of good practices for the efficient management of remittance and migration flows, so that they contribute to the sustainable economic growth of the country of origin.
