Chapter 3 in Refugee and Immigrant Entrepreneurship, 2023, pp 37-59 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract One of the most difficult aspects of migrating is the savings that are left behind regarding the sustainability of life. The profession you have done, the skills you have or the commercial life you have built on your knowledge will be left behind for those who migrate. For this purpose, support programs for subsistence and sustainable income, which are among the basic support programs related to life, of local, national and international organizations contribute to the process. Within the framework of these programs, they benefit from their knowledge and skills in their own country or learn a life without support by discovering their new talents or by gaining experience in their new country. In this context, entrepreneurship emerges as the most important driving force to live humanely and to provide this to others. This study deals with the question of whether the Syrian refugees under temporary protection who migrated to Türkiye and living in Konya benefited from the international funds or not and what they earned from these funds.
