Abstract: Abstract In this chapter, I present the foundational results of set theory. I introduce all the axioms for the set theory and then build up the necessary foundation for the rest of the book that culminates in the theorem that states the equivalence of axiom of choice, Zorn’s lemma, Hausdorff maximal principle, and well-ordering principle.
