Chapter Chapter 9 in Ordinary Differential Equations, 2023, pp 293-325 from Springer

Abstract: Abstact In the previous chapters, we considered initial value (Cauchy) problems for ordinary differential equations: all the conditions were imposed at the same point. That formulation of the problem is appropriate for phenomena evolving in time. For instance, we determine the initial location of the particle and its initial velocity, and then, by solving the Newton’s equations, we determine the particle trajectory.
