Abstract: Abstract The year 2020 has highlighted the growing importance of the public sector in the capital markets. It was governments and government agencies that intervened massively and quickly to prevent a collapse of the system. Their interventions reached $16 trillion in the last 12 months, according to IMF (International Monetary Fund) statistics.
