A chapter in Cross-Driven Institutional Resilience, 2023, pp 49-70 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The development of a global platform for sustainability disclosure and reporting is needed to enable companies to measure, report and compare their performance in a consistent and reliable way. This platform should be based on a common methodology and a set of indicators that are aligned with the SDGs and ESG criteria. It should also provide a unified framework for companies to disclose their sustainability performance and enable them to track their progress over time. Unfortunately, this is not the case. There is a lack of measurement, standardization and approved conversion factors making it difficult to understand what indicators and measures can drive businesses toward sustainability in an efficient and transparent way. There is neither a common global methodology nor a platform for disclosing information that foster the transition towards a low-carbon and more equitable society aligned with the SDGs. Klappir Green Solutions is a software company that has developed such a platform. The platform is based on a comprehensive set of indicators and metrics that are aligned with the SDGs and ESG criteria. The platform also provides a range of tools and services to help companies to track their progress and identify areas for improvement. The platform is designed to be secure, ensuring that all data is kept confidential and secure. This chapter studies the challenges facing Klappir Green Solution and their objective to aid in the implementation of the SDGs and ESG frameworks, especially considering disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
