A chapter in Trends in Biomathematics: Modeling Epidemiological, Neuronal, and Social Dynamics, 2023, pp 99-123 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In this work, we develop a mathematical model formulated by partial differential equations (PDEs) describing the HIV-1 dynamics with four discrete delays, general incidence rate, humoral immune response in the presence of therapy, and two types of infected cells. A numerical method is proposed to discretize the developed PDE model. The mathematical and numerical analysis of the HIV-1 infection model is rigorously investigated. Finally, numerical simulations are presented to illustrate our results.
