Abstract: Abstract David Thissen is professor emeritus of quantitative psychology at University of North Carolina at Chapell Hill and was president of the Psychometric Society in 2000. Thissen wrote his dissertation at the University of Chicago in 1976 under R. Darrell Bock’s supervision. His research interests include item response theory and differential item functioning.
