Abstract: Abstract While human resource development (HRD) can help to improve people’s capacity and leadership, corporate social responsibility (CSR) is an organizational policy concept which guides an organization’s responses to the key issues of stakeholders. Organizational sustainability (OS) depends on the triple bottom line—the economic, social, and environmental dimensions of how a business conducts its affairs. By combining CSR and OS concepts in their operations, organizations can contribute to global sustainable development and are likely to be more sustainable themselves because they connect the interests, benefits, and support of all parties involved. In this chapter, the links between CSR, OS, and HRD in organizations are clarified using a literature review and interviews with key personnel in selected organizations. Implications for enhancing the role of HRD in CSR and OS activities in organizations are also presented.
