Abstract: Abstract This chapter is based on the multifaceted co-evolutionary model presented in Chapter 1, but goes further in elaborating different aspects, with a focus on themes related to primarily political, economic and organizational areas of influence. The role of transport infrastructure projects in relation to national-identity shaping processes is also discussed, as well as technology import and innovation.
