Chapter Chapter 8 in Artificial Intelligence Valuation, 2024, pp 507-568 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Chatbots are generative AI systems that can maintain a conversation with a user in natural language and simulate the way a human would behave as a conversational partner. Such technologies often utilize aspects of deep learning and natural language processing. Business models and subsequent planning represent a prerequisite for economic valuation approaches that consider cost-benefits, ROI, customer value or satisfaction, revenue, and cash flow generation or comparables. The valuation concerns either the market value of chatbot platforms or the benefits for its users.
