Chapter Chapter 6 in Process Management and Burnout Prevention, 2024, pp 169-271 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In this chapter, we look at tools from the process management field and try to apply them to burnout prevention. Tools like Design Thinking, House of Quality (i.e. Quality Function Deployment), or DMAIC are well-known in process management. The idea is that process management professionals learn to address the psychological and physiological demands using these tools. In turn, psychologists are given step-by-step instructions for some simple but rigorous tools that can help them address problems they are familiar with. Relying on years of experience from manufacturing, services, and quality management research, we show how to measure, improve, and safeguard the efficiency and effectiveness of your human-centred processes.
