Abstract: Abstract A useful plethora of applications of Sharma-Mittal entropies is taken as the motivation for the construction of a generalized thermostatistics. This is done by starting with the organization of elementary probabilistic games in order to introduce an adequate sample space and construct the related probabilistic space. Among generic ideas for introducing the sample space, we specify part of the work that has been done over the past 10 years with the distribution of families of protein domains.
