Abstract:
Abstract This chapter continues the overview of decentralized finance (DeFi) fraud and hacks. It begins by discussing Oracle attacks and case studies. Next, we discuss DeFi market manipulation schemes and case studies. The chapter then discusses rug pulls and case studies. We conclude with a discussion of social engineering and private key exploits and additional case studies, including the MakerDAO “Black Thursday” event.
