Kummer Hypergeometric Function
Daniel Duverney
Chapter Chapter 6 in An Introduction to Hypergeometric Functions, 2024, pp 181-201 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Kummer hypergeometric function 1 F 1 $${ }_{1}F_{1}$$ and its special cases (error function, incomplete gamma function etc.) are useful in many problems. Its properties can be deduced from the general properties of hypergeometric functions (Chap. 3 ), but also from the properties of Gauss hypergeometric function 2 F 1 $${ }_{2}F_{1}$$ by confluence.
