Abstract:
Abstract Career development and VR work are not new terms. Understanding how career development and VR work are integrated is important for organizations. Implementation of career development in VR environments is essential for organizations and employees as they seek to adapt to the new normal VR work environments that emerged during and since the COVID-19 pandemic. Rogers’s Diffusion of Innovation Theory is one theory that organization leaders, employees, HRD professionals, and researchers can use to help them innovate and integrate technology throughout VR environments. It can also help them understand the different adoption rates of technology by the different generations of employees in organizations and those who choose VR jobs.
