Abstract The president of the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (EMBRAPA), Celso Moretti, beamed with pride before a poster announcing the Second Brazilian Congress of Agribusiness on February 8, 2022. He had just accepted the Norman Borlaug prize for agricultural sustainability from Marcelo Brito, president of the Brazilian Agribusiness Association.
