Abstract:
Abstract Brazil’s economic policy in the immediate post-Vargas era featured even more state intervention in the economy and a further shift from agricultural to industrial development. Disillusionments of the post-war period stirred by massive balance of payments deficits strengthened support for government action to promote industrialization.
