Chapter Chapter 27 in China's Belt and Road Initiative in Africa, 2025, pp 547-555 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This book delved into the development policy discourses and sociocultural, political-economic practices within the framework of the Chinese global promotion and Chinese-African implementation of China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) program in Africa. It attempted to shed light on the complex sociocultural, political-economic policy landscape of the domestic-foreign transfers of Chinese-African development knowledge on the continent using a variety of case studies, exemplars of the Africa-China’s BRI economic partnership. The book addressed why African governments and related sociocultural, political, and economic policy actors participate in China’s BRI program and how their involvement shapes the Chinese-African BRI economic partnership for development.
