Chapter Chapter 1 in Women’s Career Development in Virtual Remote Work Environments, 2025, pp 1-22 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Chapter 1 provides an overview of the challenges and opportunities for the career development of women in virtual remote (VR) work environments. The Hughes’s Women and Minorities Self-Assessment and Sufficiency Career Development Model is updated and provides a resource to strategically design career development strategies for women in VR work environments. Nine UN sustainable development goals and implications of women’s career development and VR work are described. Women’s success in their careers in VR work environments impacts not only themselves but also their families, organizations, communities, and ultimately societies.
