Abstract:
Abstract Patents are crucial within the MedTech sector as they not only serve as an innovation catalyst but also help create a competitive advantage by protecting breakthrough technologies. This chapter examines the main complexities linked to MedTech patent valuation as well as its strategic implications in terms of compliance with regulations, market responsiveness, and the translation of emerging trends, including AI-enhanced diagnostics and connected health devices. In addition, the chapter explores how the use of wearables, biomarker diagnostics, and telehealth platforms are converging, exemplifying the disruptive power of large patent portfolios.
