Chapter Chapter 14 in Patent Valuation, 2025, pp 493-535 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Patent licensing and monetization are essential competitive strategies in the global innovation economy. In this commercial landscape, industrial-era approaches may once again be applied together with more recent technological innovations. In this chapter, we discuss exclusive and non-exclusive licensing models, AI-based royalty predictions, blockchain-backed smart contracts, and fractional ownership through tokenization. Making IP more accessible emphasizes the game-changing role of decentralized platforms, adaptive royalty changes, and crowdsourcing.
