Abstract Since the late nineteenth century and the rise of mass media, numerous entrepreneurial personalities have made their mark on the global media landscape: John Davison Rockefeller, Andrew Carnegie, and, more recently, Bill Gates and Steve Jobs (Chernow, 1998 ; Tedlow, 2003 ; Klein, 2007 ; Nasaw, 2014).
