Chapter Chapter 4 in Digital Transformation and Innovation in Organizations, 2025, pp 79-104 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Digital transformation is redefining organizational structures across the globe, and Latin America is no exception. The region's distinctive socio-cultural and economic context adds unique complexities to this process. This chapter explores how human identity and organizational culture in Latin America are reshaped by digitalization, emphasizing the critical role of intrinsic and transcendent motivations in building resilient and innovative organizational cultures. Drawing on anthropological models such as Juan Antonio Pérez López’s framework, it presents a perspective that integrates purpose, human values, and technological dynamics within the Latin American environment. By positioning motivations at the core of change, the text proposes a management model that balances technological advancement with human dignity and well-being, addressing the ethical and cultural challenges of the digital age. Ultimately, it underscores the importance of leadership in shaping cultures that adapt to change without compromising fundamental human values, while considering the unique realities of Latin American societies.
