Chapter Chapter 8 in Digital Transformation and Innovation in Organizations, 2025, pp 191-216 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The present chapter seeks to outline two significant aspects concerning the transformations of the second decade of the twenty-first century. The significance of organizational readiness for implementing new technologies developed since the rise of Industry 4.0, supported by the TOE model, is crucial. It emphasizes the importance of handling intricate systems using organizational cybernetics to establish sustainable systems, a crucial aspect of Industry 5.0. From the initial industrial revolution to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, successfully adjusting to innovation has become a vital factor for technological achievement and organizational longevity, although its transformation procedures have not been sustainable. This study analyzes the TOE model and discusses its integration within the systemic paradigm to help organizations create sustainable systems within the framework of industry 5.0, emphasizing the context of Latin America.
