Chapter Chapter 2 in Critical Issues Facing America, 2025, pp 13-44 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Entrepreneurship is one of the primary ways Americans build wealth for themselves and their families. Black American entrepreneurship has been hindered by the legacy of slavery that prevented slaves, who were property, from owning property. Combined with housing and employment discrimination after the end of slavery, Black entrepreneurs struggled. This chapter looks at current public and private policies that address this important issue.
