Chapter Chapter 32 in Lectures on Real-valued Functions, 2025, pp 345-355 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract As in the previous chapter, the family C ( X ) $$C(X)$$ of all real-valued continuous functions on a nonempty compact topological space X is considered with its standard sup-norm, i.e., | | f | | = sup { | f ( x ) | : x ∈ X } ( f ∈ C ( X ) ) . $$\displaystyle ||f|| = {\mathrm {sup}}\{|f(x)|: x \in X\}\qquad (f \in C(X)). $$
