Abstract:
Abstract The increasing development in technologies have changed the world in various sector especially in the medical field. Due to such expanding growth in advanced technologies the medical field is also advanced for example the doctors able to identify a disease and cure them in more easily and less painful way. One of the key breakthroughs in the sectors of medical imaging and diagnosis—CAD, i.e. Computer-Aided Diagnosis is nothing but using an output generated by advanced technologies as a tool in assisting the doctors to diagnosis the issue/concern inside the patient body and cure them. Moreover, enhancing innovations in the field of cybersecurity and AI (Artificial Intelligence) improved the accuracy and safety of the CAD systems which impact the handling of the sensitive data of patients while utilizing AI-driven algorithms to provide precise diagnostic insights. In 2019, the pandemic has shaken the world—technological applications and initiatives are multiplying to control the situation, treat patients in an effective way and facilitate the efforts of overworked healthcare workers, while developing new, effective vaccines. In the absence of pre-defined symptoms to identify Covid-19, CAD system based on CT scans can help doctors to diagnose it and understand disease development. In this paper, the authors have discussed in detail about computer-aided diagnosis, working and relevance in different sectors, how it played major role in fighting pandemic & it’s status in India, U.K., and South Africa.
