Abstract: Abstract The research endeavor aimed to investigate the ramifications of disparities in digital literacy, the accessibility of artificial intelligence, and vulnerabilities to cybercrime within the countries of Sub-Saharan Africa. This qualitative study employed a literature review methodology, meticulously examining a wide range of studies to identify prevalent themes. The analysis corroborated that access to AI technology constitutes a pivotal factor that facilitates digital literacy and cybercrime vulnerabilities. Furthermore, it highlighted the importance of digital literacy in mitigating the risks associated with cybercrime and AI-powered cyber fraud. One proposed approach to enhance digital access is the formulation of pertinent and consistently updated information technology programs. The study's findings suggest that although digital access is essential, cultivating digital literacy is equally paramount. This can be realized through the implementation of suitable educational programs at the school level. Such programs would not only enhance digital literacy but also equip students with the requisite skills to navigate the digital environment safely and effectively.
