Abstract:
Abstract This article discusses the concept of embodied leadership within arts education, focusing on the lived experiences of dance school leaders. Using a phenomenological approach, it explores how physical presence, and embodied practices influence leadership behaviors through daily interactions with students, parents, and the broader educational environment. The results indicate three primary perspectives regarding embodied leadership: the transition from dancer to leader, the dynamics of social leadership, and embodiment as a resource in leadership work. The study’s findings indicate the importance of self-awareness and emotional commitment in creating open, trusting relationships and enhancing creativity and innovation. Through the study of the interactions between personal artistic interests and leadership positions, this research demonstrates the value of practical applications in leadership development. The insights gained have significant implications for leaders in various fields. These implications are emphasized by the role of embodiment in the creation of effective and inclusive leadership behavior.
