Chapter Chapter 2 in Big Data Analysis, 2025, pp 7-10 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract When we roll a die, the small cube with six different numbers on its six faces will never give us a determinist answer before it comes to rest. Einstein thought even “God does not throw dice.” However, probabilists have to (as well as statisticians!). Actually, they have developed a dedicated language to describe the world of uncertainty. We will first begin with reviewing several fundamental terminologies in probability theory.
