A chapter in Topics in Corporate Finance, 2025, pp 335-357 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Managerial styles significantly influence corporate decision-making. This chapter reviews how managers’ personal traits, experiences, and incentives shape their leadership styles and, in turn, affect corporate decisions, firm performance, and risk. Understanding these dynamics can help boards and shareholders select and develop leaders who align with the firm’s strategic goals and expectations.
