Abstract:
Abstract This chapter sets out India’s position vis-à-vis other countries with respect to terrorist activities. It describes the Global Terrorism Data on which the quantitative analysis of this book is based. It sets out the natural experiment in Indian politics by which there was a Congress-led coalition government in India from 2004 to 2013 followed by a Bhartiya Janata Party government from 2014 to the present.
